Naoyuki OKAMOTO
Immediately before his retirement from public service, Mr. Okamoto was the Director-General for Policy Management at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, in succession to his term as the first Director-General for Policy Planning at the Ministry of Finance.
He was previously appointed as the Deputy Director-General of the Minister's Secretariat, Director of the General Affairs Division of the Financial Bureau, and the Chief Accountant of the Ministry of Finance (Cabinet, Judicial Police, etc.) following his secondment to the Cabinet Secretariat and Cabinet Office, where he contributed to the command of growth strategies, leveraging of start-up policies, and promotion of local and regional development and revitalization.
He has also held positions as Director of the JETRO Zurich Office and Director of the Ushio Tax Office in Japan.
Mr. Okamoto began his career in the Ministry of Finance in 1985 and holds a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Law, The University of Tokyo.
