On September 21, 2022, SPACE WALKER, Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Akihide Manabe) newly opened the SPACE WALKER Nagasaki Plant, to facilitate the development, manufacturing, and sales of high-pressure gas composite tanks.

Weight reduction is the biggest challenge in rocket development. The majority of the internal structure are made up by high-pressure gas and cryogenic propellant tanks, necessitating robust yet lightweight storage vessels.
The establishment of the SPACE WALKER Nagasaki Plant marks a significant step in our commitment to advancing our capabilities to contribute in various sectors, including both space technology and decarbonization efforts on earth.
With our investment in state-of-the-art technology, including Japan’s largest filament winding machine at the plant, we will focus on the development, manufacturing, and sales of high-pressure gas composite tanks, a crucial component in rocket development in our pursuit of lightweight and robust solutions.
