SPACE WALKER Appoints New Executive Officer: Koichi Miyoshi ex-IHI Corporation

SPACE WALKER, Inc. (Registered Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Akihide Manabe) hereby announces the appointment of Mr. Koichi Miyoshi, formerly a Chief Engineer at IHI Corporation, as a new Executive Officer.

This appointment will accelerate the company’s development of winged reusable launch vehicles (suborbital spaceplanes) and related missions in the dynamically transforming space transportation industry.

Introduction of Koichi Miyoshi, New Executive Officer
Mr. Miyoshi brings influential leadership to SPACE WALKER following his career as Chief Engineer at the Space Development Department, Aero Engine in the Space & Defense Business Area of IHI Corporation. Mr. Miyoshi was previously appointed as the Director of Galaxy Express Corporation, in the years succeeding his position as Chief Engineer at the Aero-Engine & Space Division of IHI Corporation. Mr. Miyoshi holds a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo.
