Development Status of Satellite Launch Suborbital Spaceplane by the Tokyo University of Science Start-up SPACE WALKER
Abstract: SPACE WALKER Inc., a startup from Tokyo University of Science, is developing a small satellite launch suborbital spaceplane by forming partnerships with both domestic and international aerospace companies and research institutions through grants from Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT). This presentation will cover the current status of research and development in the following areas:
・Japan’s reusable liquid methane engine with potential applications for lunar and Mars exploration
・World’s first composite liquid oxygen tank developed in collaboration with DLR Augsburg
・Advanced and challenging autonomous flight technologies in Navigation, Guidance, and Control, including multi-objective guidance laws and adaptive control laws.
